A loan helped to buy livestock to increase income from breeding livestock.

Kyzjibek's story

This wonderful woman is Kyzjibek. She is 27 years old, married, and raising three children. She has a secondary education. She has bred cattle and farmed since 2003 to earn her family's primary income. Thanks to Kyzjibek's hard work and her spouse's help on the farm, today her farm has 11 cows, eight sheep, two horses, and 1.89 hectares of irrigated land where she grows organic clover and wheat.

To further develop her farm, Kyzjibek is seeking help from the KIVA Fund in the amount of 200,000 KGS to purchase livestock to increase her sales of organic meat. The income from the loan will help her grow her farm by increasing the headcount of pedigreed dairy cows and buy a car.

Translated from Russian by Kiva volunteer Peter Ward.

This loan is special because:

It supports organic farming and includes a lower interest rate.
