A loan of $2,425 helps a member to purchase natural remedies to sell.

San Agustin Group's story

This group was started in the Santaní district. All of the members are from the same place. One of the neighbors had already formed a group in another communal bank, but it was located in another district, so she decided to form her own group, in her own neighborhood. That is how this communal bank came about.

One of the members, Ña Ramona, is married and has six children, three of whom are her dependents. Her husband works in a brick and tile factory. She sells natural remedies and raises and sells pets.

Ña Ramona states that she started selling natural remedies in order to help her husband so that their children would not be lacking anything. Her goal is to continue working hard so that in the near future she can have a small general store.

Ña Ramona is asking for this loan to purchase a variety of natural remedies so she can continue selling and thus come closer to her goal.

Please note: Only one person appears in the photo but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo because of the need to avoid crowds of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
