Teta's story

Meet 27-year- old Teta, from Liberia. She is married and has 1 child, aged 10 years. Her child lives at home and goes to school. Teta attended school up to 11th grade. She is a strong business woman who sells variou drinks and bread.

For the past 7 years, she has been managing her sales without any problems. She started to sell with some earnings from her husband, and her mother taught her how to sell. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site and sells 12 hours daily.

She requested this loan from Brac Liberia and Kiva Field Partner to purchase a greater variety of drinks and bread to sell to her good clients. She likes her business because it helps send her child to school. In the future she wants to build her own house. She thanks and gives appreciation to Brac Liberia and the Kiva community for their support.
