A loan of $1,975 helps to buy taro roots (seedling), banana tube (seedling), chemicals, a backpack sprayer, and chainsaw.

Tautala's story

Tautala is a 63-year-old single woman with three children. She comes from a family in which no one works to earn a living, therefore, only her business will help meet her family's needs.

She runs a business selling taro and bananas in her community to earn a living. She has four years of experience with this business. Tautala works very hard to please her customers with her fresh taro and bananas. She even delivers her products to the flea market by using the bus for transportation.

She thinks she can earn more income if she plants more banana and taro, but in order to do this, she needs a loan to buy taro roots (seedling), banana tube (seedling), chemicals, a backpack sprayer, and chainsaw to help her run the business.

Her dream is to one day help her family to have a great living standard. She became a member of SPBD in 2018 to seek financial help for her business.
