Women Group Of La Ermita De Saraguasca N#2's story

The Ermita de Saraguasca is located in the mountainous region of central Nicaragua in the department of Jinotega. Most women in the community work as agricultural laborers, day laborers, or raise cattle.

In 2018, the community bank, “Milagro de Dios” (God’s Miracle in Spanish), was founded. It has been a small organization providing financial inclusion and education, owned and managed by women of the community. The bank's members are currently focused on promoting personal savings and capital contributions to facilitate loans to their mostly agricultural partners.

Members of the bank are very responsible and hard-working women with the development of their families and community as a priority. These three women (Florentina, Fania, and Alejandra) will be provided access to working capital to buy agricultural supplies for farming production with this loan.
