A loan helped to buy supplies for cultivating coffee seedlings so that he can establish 1.4 hectares for planting.

Jose Rufino's story

José is a 50-year-old coffee producer who lives in a remote community in northern Nicaragua. His farmer measures seven hectares and has Fair Trade certification.

In order to improve the income he generates from selling coffee, José decided to establish an additional 1.4 hectares of coffee. As a result, he will have a better quality of life. The funds from this loan will help him acquire supplies to create a nursery for cultivating coffee seedlings so that he can establish 1.4 hectares of farmland.

This is the ninth loan he has received from PAC.
