Brazzaville, Congo (Rep.) / Office Supplies

A loan of $500 helped purchasing office and school supplies.

Rosine's story

A 40-year woman, single with two children, 16 and 20 years of age. In 1990, when abandoning her studies because of the need to support herself, she started a business selling office and school supplies. Her stand is located in front of the French Cultural Center, in an area with many administrative and governmental offices and schools (including a high school), where people have a need for her supplies.

With this loan she is hoping to receive, she will purchase 10 reams of paper, notebooks in various sizes, ballpoint pens of various quality grade and color, paper clips, staplers, file folders and subfolder inserts…everything that is needed for the office and classroom. In the future, she envisages opening a stationery store. With her savings, she will continue helping her children receive a full university education. She is very friendly and always there for her customers.
