A loan helped to add onto his inventory of food and grocery items.

Anatori's story

Anatori is a refugee from Rwanda living at the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya. He owns and runs a retail grocery store business within the camp which he started as a means of fending for his family of five.

The store is conveniently located within one of the busier spots in the community and serves a good number of customers on the regular. He has been able to build himself a loyal base of customers overtime and keeps attracting new ones with his business prowess.

Anatori is passionate about growing and expanding his business operations and reach. With the initial loan received from AEC, he was able to add onto his inventory of food and grocery items to meet the ever-growing demand at the camp. He is looking into getting another loan to add a variety of stock items for the store in order to keep serving his customers and community efficiently while at the same time growing his business capacity.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees launch businesses to rebuild their lives.
