A loan of $3,000 helped purchase chickens and eggs.

Ola's story

Ola is a 30-year-old housewife and the mother of two daughters and one son. Ola and her husband, Ala, own a small poultry business. Ola and Ala buy chickens and eggs in large quantities and sell them to small shops in the village of Howara, which is next to Nablus, the city where they live.

Ola and Ala clean the chickens so they can sell them ready-to-cook and they wrap the chickens along with the eggs. Ola and her husband noticed that their business has grown in the past eight years. They want to purchase more chickens and eggs to increase their profits. They also save from their income so that, in the future, they can have their own farm for producing chicken and eggs, instead of buying from others.

Ala appears in the picture, because Ola is not comfortable having her picture online.
