A loan helped to pay for field work for growing organic beans.

Toktosun's story

Toktosun is 46 years old. She's widowed, with 4 children. She has a high school education. Her family's main source of income has been raising cattle and growing crops since 1993. Thanks to her hard work, today the farm has 5 cows, 25 sheep, 3 horses, and 3.0 hectares where she grows beans.
Toktosun has an agreement with a local factory to sell her organic beans to them for further processing. This enables her to continuously reinvest in her farm.
When Toktosun learned that she can get a loan from Bai Tushum Bank backed by her future contract with the factory, she asked for a loan of 100,000 KGS. This helps her pay for field work to increase her sales volume of organic beans.
The payment from the factory will come directly to her bank account, with her loan repayments automatically deducted to Kiva. Earnings from this loan will help Toktosun further improve her farm.
