Mary's story

Meet 36-year-old Mary from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with 5 children. She attended school up to 9th grade.

She runs a business which sells rice, red oil, charcoal, Vita and other items. She has been in this business for the past 8 years now and works 15 hours per day and 6 days a week and has had no problem with her business.

Mary requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more rice, red oil, charcoal, Vita and other items to sell and grow her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help pay her loan installment on time.

In the future, she would like to build a house and continue sending her children to school. She says thanks and appreciation to BRAC and Kiva community for their support.
