02_Sikilo Group's story

Since its creation, this group is composed of very connected and energetic women who run businesses. Almost all of them live in the same neighborhood.

MARIAMA, in the photo, is a 35-year-old married mother of three girls. She is the group representative. She has been in commerce for years and has good experience. She stocks up at the capital and sells at retail for credit. With her new loan, she plans to buy fabrics and shoes at wholesale that she will sell at retail. She sells her merchandise to her clientele for monthly credit. The profits will be put into her savings at the banc villageois and to help her husband with the family’s expenses.
