A loan of $4,750 helps a member to buy vegetables, condiments, meat, chicken, ham, cheese and other products.

San Blas Group's story

The Comité San Blas is in its fifth cycle with the women's committee program where everyone is in the Poverty Stoplight program and seeks ways to overcome their difficulties in life and provide for their loved ones.

Alejandrina is one of them. She makes her living selling food and she is very good at what she does so she strives to keep growing and improving. She has an established clientele who always buy from her and she says that it is going very well for her. Her dream is to have a large space to be able to offer her customers everything she makes.

She is requesting this loan to buy supplies to make her dishes, such as vegetables, condiments, meat, chicken, ham, cheese and other products. She is pleased to have this opportunity to be able to continue with her sales and in turn to be able to help her loved ones.

Note: Only one person appears in the photo but this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo to avoid a large gathering due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
