Michelle's story

Michelle C. is from the town of Surallah. She is 28 years old. Michelle is married and has a 1-year-old child. To make a living, Michelle owns & operates a business venture in the agriculture sector raising crops. While not the only means for generating revenue, the main source of income for the business comes primarily from planting and harvesting rice for sale. Michelle has been engaged in her business for over 4 years. She recently started a sari-sari store where she sells salt, soy sauce and many others. She hopes for her store to grow.

Michelle joined CEVI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Michelle has successfully repaid a previous loan from CEVI. Michelle is requesting a new loan of 12000 PHP which will be used to purchase general farm supplies & equipment. This loan will be the fourth loan taken out by Michelle from CEVI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve her business.
