A loan of $725 helped buy fabrics and yarns in different colours.

Victoria's story

Victoria is 41 years old. She lives with her husband and their children in their relatives' house. For the last two years she has been making beautiful embroideries. She started when a friend taught her and she now works independently in the comfort of her home, which allows her to look after the house and her children. She also grows alfalfa to sell wholesale, which is why she does not have a fixed work schedule. However, she is very constant when it comes to her embroideries, as their complexity and thickness on the fabric take a month's work. The end result is a beautiful traditional garment, admired by her customers, who buy in cash. The most profitable period for her business is during the Feast of Santiago, which is widely celebrated in her area. She would like to increase the production of embroidered skirts and recruit more staff to help her.

This is her third loan with MFP. She is very happy to have financial backing because she has always proved to be responsible in the management of her payments. She also enjoys being part of her loan group because all members are responsible and very supportive. She thanks those managing the loan request, which will be very helpful in the development of her business. She will use the credit to buy more fabrics and yarns in different colours, as well as seeds and fertilizer for planting alfalfa.
