A loan of $850 helped to purchase more fertilizer.

Silvia's story

Silvia is 37 years old; she lives with her husband and 2 children in a house they own. She has worked in farming and livestock for 11 years. Currently, Silvia owns a stable of cows, bulls and sheep. She also farms maize, potato and alfalfa, which she uses to feed her animals until they are big enough for sale.

Most of her income comes from alfalfa, so she has increased her planting. She harvests the alfalfa every morning, and sells it with the help of her children. Silvia confirms that her work is profitable, thanks to her perseverance. She now sees the fruits of her labor and is happily planning to expand her farm land.

This is her 9th loan with MFP. Silvia is happy to have this financial support and she has always been responsible in her loan repayment. She is also grateful to be a part of her community group because all of its members are responsible and supportive. Silvia is grateful to those people whose funding will provide the loan capital she needs. This loan will be very useful in the development of her business. She will use it to buy sacks of fertilizer to plant more alfalfa.
