A loan of $375 helped buy clothing to stock her business.

Dorcas's story

Dorcas, age 42, lives in her own house with her two children. She has been selling clothing for five years. She travels monthly to the city of Lima to stock her business with up-to-date and modern merchandise according to the season. She makes her sales in the same city. She takes part of her merchandise as a sample to ensure more rapid sales. This way of working allows her to arrange her schedule and not neglect her children.

The most difficult part of her work is waiting for her customers to pay her. That is why she tries, whenever possible, to be paid in cash for the item that is purchased. In the future she will continue working in order to have a clothing store in her house.

This is her 12th loan with MFP. She is very happy to know that she has financial backing. She has always demonstrated herself to be responsible in her payments. Also, it pleases her to be part of her communal bank because all of the members are responsible and very supportive people. She thanks those individuals who will approve her loan request; the funds will be very useful in advancing her business. She will use the requested loan to buy more merchandise.
