A loan of $675 helps to buy farm inputs to improve her production and earn more income for her family during this tough economic recession.

Nancy's story

Nancy is a 28-year-old mother of two school-going children living in Makutano, Kenya, an area with a history of regular rainfall. Nancy is a mixed farmer and has been farming for the past many years. Through farming, she has achieved meaningful accomplishments in her life, and, like any caring African woman, Nancy wants the best for her family.

Nancy is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs to improve her production and earn more income for her family during this tough economic recession.

One Juhudi Kilimo objective is to increase the ease with which farmers can access farm inputs and income-generating assets. Through the intervention of Juhudi Kilimo and Kiva, fertilizer, pesticide, and other important farm inputs have become more accessible than buying a bottle of water for Juhudi Kilimo's members.

Nancy is looking forward to your warm response to her loan request!

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
