A loan helped a member to purchase weaving materials.

Luna Llena Group's story

Señora Marcelina's life has been very difficult since she was very young. She had many siblings, because of which, she was unable to finish school. But that was also her motivation to improve her situation. She was very young when she got together with her partner, who she later married and with whom she had two children. The beginning of her new role as mother was very difficult, but with time Marcelina took on the role as head of her household, always with her husband's support.

Marcelina saw a way to improve her situation by doing what she always liked best and was good at; weaving ponchos and wool sashes. Marcelina is requesting this loan to purchase more weaving materials so she can have more varied merchandise in larger quantities. Her goal is to increase her inventory and offer her customers a greater variety.

Only three people are in the above photo because of the need to respect social distancing during the pandemic. Señora Rosa Tesorera is on the left in a gray sweater and a red jacket. Señora Marcelina is the president and appears in the middle of the photo in a cherry-colored sweater. Señora Miriam is the recording secretary and is on the right in a black coat.
