A loan of $375 helped buy more bricks.

Elena's story

Elena, age 30, lives in her own house with her husband and their two children. For over ten years she has been making bricks in a factory. She is an employee thanks to her husband’s friend who was able to get her into the factory.

From that time on she has made bricks, which are later sold wholesale. However, she saw that the advantageous thing to do is to buy the bricks that she makes. Then, she takes them to different cities to sell them for a better price.

She currently works half time, which allows her to devote herself to her children. She thinks that this activity has united her family more. She receives help from them in making and selling the bricks. She is very pleased about this. Later she wishes to have her own land to establish a factory to produce a greater quantity of bricks.

This is her ninth loan with MFP. She is very happy knowing that she has financial support. She has always demonstrated herself to be responsible with her payments. It pleases her to be part of her communal bank because all of the members are responsible and very supportive people. Also, she is grateful to the people who will make the loan she is requesting possible. It will be very useful to the progress of her business. She will use the loan she is requesting to buy bricks wholesale.
