Willian Rolando's story

Willian Rolando C. T. is 35 years old. He lives with his partner, Elizabeth, and their 2 sons Fabricio, 9, and Mateo, 2. They live in the village of Chillanes, Bolívar province.

William is a member of the rural community bank group Rey de Reyes (King of Kings), which is located an hour and a half from Chillanes. There are 23 members in all, most of whom are farmers. This will be the group's first loan from Cooperativa San José.

William farms maize and pineapples. He buys his farming supplies in Bucay every month and also sells his harvest there. He is requesting the loan to buy seeds for the next planting season. This loan will be an opportunity for him to grow. His dream is to have money to buy land. A challenge he faces is the weather. William likes playing sports in his free time.
