A loan of $550 helped purchase of small livestock and enriched animal feed to expand livestock business.

Rosa Gladyz's story

Rosa is 26 years old, married, and lives with her husband and 2 children in the sector of Casablanca, a rural zone of Mórrope district. It's characterized as a rural, sparsely populated zone that belongs to Lambayeque province, located an hour from Chiclayo city.

Rosa buys, raises and sells small livestock. She has done this for the past 6 years. After raising the animals she sells them in the Lambayeque market and sometims to visiting dealers. She usually raises sheep and poultry. This work is her most stable source of income, since her husband is a seasonal farm worker.

She will keep working to help her husband and to provide her family with the opportunity to improve itself. It is for her family's sake that she hopes to expand her business by purchasing more animals and enriched feed, thus increasing sales. To reach her goal, Rosa has applied for a 1,500 PEN loan from Edpyme Alternativa.

Rosa has previously worked with Kiva and she is very grateful to the people who helped her grow as an entrepreneur. Rosa continues to work hard towards her biggest dream: to provide her children with the opportunity to advance in the future. She is a responsible mother who always watches over the wellbeing of her loved ones.
