A loan helped to buy 30 bags of onions and save for her children.

Mariam's story

Mariam is the mother of five children, three of which are in school. You will one in the picture. She is a saleswoman and market gardener, growing onions. She has been buying onions from the growers on the edge of the city for three years. She holds them and sells at the opportune moment.

She repaid her first Kiva loan without problem and is requesting a new loan to buy 30 bags of onions, to sell later. She expects to use some of the profit in her business and save the rest for her children.

She asks everyone to protect themselves from Covid-19.
