A loan helped to pay for seed, agricultural inputs, soil preparation, and day laborers.

Marlene's story

Marlene is 37 years old. She is a single mom and lives in the rural community of Mariscal Sucre in a home that belongs to family members. Seeing how difficult the economic situation was due to the health crisis, Marlene decided to start farming so that her hopes would not depend only on day labor.

Marlene is applying for a loan which will enable her to increase her agricultural labors. She wants to sow more potatoes in addition to the parcel she now has. She needs support in order to pay for seed, agricultural inputs, soil preparation and day labor. This will help her to boost her farming and generate financial stability to pay for her child's education.
