A loan helped open a minority and women-owned adult day care for seniors and those with disabilities.

Kimmie's story

The name of my center is called The James LJ Center in memory of my baby brother. My brother was a young black male with no children or felonies. He was a high school graduate however, he was very lonely. Our mother and father never loved us enough, in fact not at all. James was lonely and was desperate for love. He found love in the wrong person and ended up in prison for 15 to life. While incrassated James gained depression and anxiety on top of his loneliness. He died from a drug overdose in prison, I am motivated to make sure that people in my community can come to an Adult day center to make sure they are never lonely and receive all the healthcare and resources they may need.
