A loan of $725 helped vehicle maintenance.

Jorge Dennis's story

Jorge is 38 years old and a father who lives with his wife and two children in the San José district of the Pacasmayo province; an area located in the La Libertad region, more than two hours from the city of Chiclayo, the capital of the Lambayeque region.

For the past three years he’s been providing freight and passenger transportation services with his “mototaxi” (a kind of three wheeled taxi that has a compartment in the back that is used for holding passengers or cargo). He provides this service within his neighborhood throughout most of the day. There is sure demand within the zone because his service is very accessible.

Jorje has worked hard to move his business ahead. His hard work has paid off and now he has two units with which to provide service. He drives one himself and leases the other out. His wife works washing clothes and they try to move their family ahead economically by combining their incomes.

Jose would like to perform maintenance on his mobile units, so that they will continue to work properly. He has requested a loan of 2,000 PEN ($725) through Edpyme Alternativa. He has had previous loans through our institution and has demonstrated his responsibility by making his payments on time.
