Eulogia's story

Eulogia is 62 years old and is woman who has always worked hard to get ahead in life, she lives in her own home and what she wishes for most is to have a pleasant old age. Since she was very little she worked with her parents tending to the crops and throughout the years she has been able to buy her own small farms and she is now one of the main producers of bananas and coffee in the Chanchamayo province where buyers go to buy her crops. She enjoys her work very much and what she enjoys most is taking care of her crops and she does it with great care. Eulogia has worked on the land for 42 years, what she considers most difficult is transporting her crops to the market since it is hard to find trucks that are willing to take heavy sacks of coffee. Her biggest wish is to buy new lands to increase her production. This is her fourth loan with MFP (Kiva’s field partner) and is very sure in being able to pay all of her quotas on time since she is very punctual. In her communal bank, Eulogia is a very happy and supportive member. With the three thousand nuevos soles, she will buy more manure and fertilizer to improve her crops productivity.
