A loan of $1,075 helped to buy manure to improve his crops.

Antenor's story

Antenor is 23 years old, he is a nice and hardworking young man, he lives in his parents home and what he wishes most for is to get ahead in life. His small farms are in the Chanchamayo province, his land is ample and with his care he has turned them into some of the best crops in the area. That is why when he goes to sell his products like bananas and coffee in the city’s market, he gets very good prices due to the quality of his crops.

What Antenor enjoys most of his work is sowing his land and making them fertile, he’s been working for 4 years and says that the most difficult part of taking care of his crops are the plagues that affect them. With time he wishes to buy more land in other areas to increase his production and have a variety of crops. This is his fourth loan with MFP (Kiva’s field partner) and knows that he has to pay punctually if he wants future loans. In his communal group, Antenor is very responsible and is always mindful of the agreements made within the group. With the three thousand nuevos soles he will buy more manure and fertilizer to improve his land.
