48Thanh An Group's story

In the nice picture, Mrs. Huoi is in the fist from the right and is leader of Thanh An 48 group. Huoi is 55 years old and a Thai ethnic woman. She lives with her husband and a son. Her son is grown and is a mason for a local small business. Her family lived very happily, but there was an unfortunate thing that came to her family, that her husband was paralyzed and now has difficulty in movement. That's why she can't go out to make money. She worked hard to earn more income, such as growing rice, raising chickens, and raising goats. Huoi has always tried hard to increase production but without being trained in any specialty. She knows agricultural production using very old traditional technique by experience.

With the technique counseling and loan at Anh Chi Em program, recently, she has been able to invest in goat raising. With the loan, she could afford to buy baby goats to expand goat farming as she believes that selling goats will bring good profit to her family. She hopes that with the advice from an agriculture worker of Anh Chi Em program, her investment will go well and help to improve significantly her family’s income. Huoi shared that with the funds earned from selling goats she plans to buy buffalo.
