Mrs. Ann P., age 28, breeds and sells pigs to earn about $8 in revenue per day. Her husband, age 33, buys and resells recyclable products, earning about $11 per day in revenue. They have two children who are too young to attend school. Ann would like to request a loan of US$ 800 to purchase young piglets to raise and fatten for sale as well as a larger stock of recyclable products for her husband’s business so as to take advantage of bulk discounts and increase their profit margin. They plan to use the increased income to educate their children and save for the future.
