A loan helped to pay field workers and to buy two dairy cows that will increase her sales of organic milk.

Kalamkas's story

Kalamkas has successfully repaid her previous loan, and is grateful to Kiva and to all who helped her with that financing. Her farm presently consists of two cows and a 1.75-hectare plot of land where she raises barley and alfalfa.

In order to develop her business further, Kalamkas has again turned to Bai Tushum Bank, this time for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS), to pay field workers and also to buy a dairy cow that will increase her sales of organic milk. Kalamkas is planning to put the income generated by the loan toward growing her agricultural business into the future.
