A loan of $375 helped purchase magazines & newpapers.

Marlene's story

Marlene is 31 years of age and an enterprising young woman who lives at her parents' house. Every day she sells newspapers, magazines, and candy. Marlene always tries to arrange her products in a way that they can be seen and easily sold. Her kiosk is situated in a favorable location at a busy bus stop, thereby helping to make her business profitable. Years ago this newsstand belonged to her mother and Marlene helped with the work, but she took over after her passing. Today she is satisfied with her work. Two years have passed and now her greatest priority if finishing the construction of her house so that she can establish a store where she can sell groceries. Her neighborhood is lacking this type of service.

This is her first loan with MFP. Marlene knows the loan will be very useful in increasing her operating capital, so she commits to completing all of her payments on time. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy more magazines and accessories for her business so that her kiosk remains well-stocked.
