Saory's story

Saory, 25, is married and lives with his family in Bakan District, Pursat Province. He and his wife help each other earn more income by working as construction workers. Being a responsible father, Saory works hard every day to generate income so he can cover his daily costs and send his children to school.

He works as a construction worker in his community with his team, providing this service to customers. He works at construction sites and will perform physical tasks such as cleaning, removing debris, loading and unloading.

Because of shortages in his finances, he's applied for a loan of USD 1,000 to pay for land fill around his house to cover the mud. With this loan support, he can pay for land fill and provide his family members with a good environment, fresh air, protection from illness and good living conditions.

In the future, he aims to renovate his old house and push his children to continue studying at the university. He sends thanks to all lenders who've contributed their funds to help a poor fellow like him, and he believes through his hard work and perseverance he'll be able to attain a better standard of living someday.

This loan is special because:

It provides access to clean, renewable energy sources, like solar and biogas.
