This group is made up of 5 women who share strong bonds of solidarity and mutual aid. They live in the same village and took the opportunity to join the banc villageois when it was established in the locality in December 2011. Their main activity is small business.
Madame Awa, (standing at the far right of the photo with her hand raised), is the group's representative. She is 31 years old. She is married and mother of 6 children including 3 daughters the youngest being 5 years old. She trades in vegetables. She has experience in this activity having practiced it for several years.

With this new loan she plans to buy bags of carrots, potatoes, onions, cabbage, and cassava to resell them in the weekly markets.

With the profits, she intends to strengthen her savings, develop her business and help her husband with family care.
