A loan of $550 helped buying milk, rice, sugar and beans to stock her store.

Luz's story

Luz is 43 años and lives with her son and her elderly parents in their house. For more than 2 years, she has worked running her own store, which is installed in the same house. During this time, her parents have also helped her serve customers, since she sometimes has to go out to her agricultural fields to plant. The decision to operate a store came because she needed another source of income, so that she could more easily overcome the setbacks that tend to occur in agriculture. Her store is open all day for the customers' convenience, and it offers a wide range of products to satisfy buyers' needs. At present, Luz considers that her store is moderately profitable, but with her dedication and perseverance, she believes that it will become one of the best-stocked stores for basic necessities. This is her eighth loan with MFP, and she is very happy to know that she has a source of financial support, since she has always shown herself to be responsible with her payments. She is also happy to be part of her communal bank, because all of its members are responsible people with a strong sense of solidarity. She is grateful to all of the people who will make this loan possible; it will be very useful to her in the progress of her business. With the loan she is requesting, she will invest in buying more products, such as milk, sugar, rice, and some varieties of beans, to stock her store.
