Mujeres Latinas Group's story

Liliana is 27 years old and has a three year old son. She is part of the group, “Mujeres Latinas” (Latin American Women), made up of 8 members who all live in the Carabayllo district.

Liliana has been running her own business for the past year. She began by selling Mazamorra (a typical dessert in Latin America), but little by little people began requesting food, so she decided to start selling kabobs as well. Her business is set up outside her front door, where she makes her sales; it has grown and her customers have increased. Thanks to this business, she is able to support her young son, as she is both mother and father to him.

He next goal is to open a restaurant. She will use the money from this loan to buy ingredients so that she can expand her business and begin selling sandwiches and broasted chicken.

In this group: Liliana, Magaly Teresa, Abraham Vladimir, Zoila Rosa, Filomena Maria, Sandra, Rosa Petronila, Mirtha Angela
