A loan of $1,000 helped purchase of shoes and bags.

Ama's story

Ama G. is a very dynamic lady. She is married and mother to two children, and she lives with her family in Adidogomé, which is one of the outer districts of the town of Lomé. She has an income-generating activity selling "pagnes" (a West African term for decorative fabric), shoes and women's bags on a retail basis. She has been carrying out this activity since 2000. In order to have more customers she conducts her activity on a door-to-door basis. She is requesting a third loan to boost her stock by buying five cartons of bags and ten cartons of shoes.
