A loan helped to buy medium-sized pigs, feed, seeds, fertilizer and phytosanitary products.

Jean Juste's story

Jean Juste is a young, 24-year-old man. He is married and has one child under his care. He lives in a village on the outskirts of town. He has worked raising pigs and farming potatoes for six years. His wife helps him.

Jean Juste joined Vahatra to take out a loan. This was beneficial, because with his profits he was able to build a home.

Currently, he wishes to increase his herd of pigs to raise and expand the land that he farms. He is going to fatten pigs and increase his farming of potatoes in order to earn more.

He is going to buy medium-sized pigs, feed, seeds, fertilizer, and phytosanitary products to help him guarantee his work. He is going to resell his crops to local collectors and his animals to butchers in the large town.

Jean Juste hopes to buy a piece of arable land with his profits.
