Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $175 helped to purchase additional products to sell.

Delia's story

Delia A. is from the village of Capellan. She is 33 years old, married, and has three school-aged children. To make a living, she owns and operates a general store, selling a variety of different products in the local community. She has been engaged in her business for over fourteen years and earns approximately $75 a month for these activities.

In 2010, Delia joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She has successfully repaid a previous loan of 5,000 PHP from ASKI. This previous loan was used to purchase additional products to sell. Delia is requesting a new loan of 7,000 PHP which again will be used to purchase additional products to sell. This will be her 2nd loan from ASKI. She plans to use the additional revenue generated to continue to expand her business.

About ASKI:
