A loan of $725 helped to buy trousers, jackets and polo shirts.

Domitila's story

Domitila is a 53-year old widow and has 5 children, one of whom is a student. She has a stall in the 12th April market, where she sells clothes. She also travels to street markets five times a week, selling the clothes she buys in Lima.
Domitila is a member of the Despertar (Awaken) communal bank and what she likes most about it is the incentive to save. She is requesting a loan of 2000 soles with which to buy trousers, jackets and polo shirts.
Domitila would like to have her own capital and to stock up on merchandise.
