Lourdes Maria's story

Mrs. Lourdes L. is a single mother of two children and lives in the Oriental neighborhood in Danli, El Paraiso.

Doña Lourdes has a business of selling food and sweets such as enchiladas, chilaquiles, baleadas, tortillas with cheese, catrachitas, yucca with pork cracklings, tacos, bottled beverages and natural water. Doña Lourdes has a year in this business and it should be noted that during this time she has efficiently managed it.

The place where her business is located is good for this type of activity since it is the only stand at the establishment where the offices of the Department of Natural Resources of the city of Danli are located, also a place where the offices of SAG, Senasa, Pralebah, Proheco and the District Office of Education are housed. The majority of her customers are the employees of these institutions, and many of the employees buy food on credit and pay her when they get their paychecks.
She also has customers from rural areas or people visiting these offices. which have a fair amount of traffic by people that live near the city center.

Doña Lourdes will use the loan to buy necessary supplies for the making of the various dishes that she sells at her business.

With increased sales. she hopes to invest her income in the payment of educational expenses and support of her children.
