A loan of $2,250 helped a member purchase new tables and chairs to serve clients.

La Solución Group's story

The A.C. La Solución is made up of eight members, seven women and one man. This is their second cycle and the Señora Virginia T. C. is the president of the current cycle. This communal association pertains to the Centro Focal of Collpani. The Señora Virginia has been selling food for a living for several years now. She says that her brother's wife used to sell food and had recommended it to her because it was a good business and as such she decided to start as well. She sells food between nine in the morning and noon. For their first loan, the association was approved Bs. 500; money which was used to purchase baby clothes that was sold right away. Now changing to a different line of work, the loan is for Bs. 1500, which will be used toward the purchase of tables and chairs. The members of the communal association all work in different types of sectors: the sale of fruit, food, clothing, woven items, lamb and cheese, and public transportation.
