Lilly Lina's story

Lilly Lina lives in an urban area which is located just 5 minutes drive to Port Vila city. Her community is the largest residential area in the city, and the main industry is food.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic it has been quite satisfactory for one to earn income. Lilly Lina is 40 years of age and is married and has four children who are ages 20, 19, 12 and 7. She lives with her husband and children in their own home.

Lilly Lina has asked for a loan to help her to purchase 2 tonnes of cement and a truck load of crushed stone which she will stock up to produce bricks for her customers. She wants to be able to meet up with her customers high demand for her bricks. With the revenue earned, she will use it to complete her home units which are located on another piece of land about 5 kilometres away from Port Vila city.

Lilly Lina has been in her business for just a year. She dreams of opening up a small retail shop to provide for her home unit customers. This is Lilly Lina's second loan with South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd. She has been committed to her first loan repayments.
