A loan helped to buy more clothes to sell.

Rebecca's story

This is 38 year old Rebecca. She is a hardworking business woman that is living together with her partner and has been blessed with two children. She never had the opportunity to attend school. Both of her children are currently living at home while attending school. She runs a retail business where she sells clothes. She asked for a loan with BRAC Liberia, KIVA field partner. She is seeking the loan to buy more clothes to sell and add up her business in order to ensure she meets her customers' demands. Her love for her business continues to grow every day. She has been selling for the past 12 years. She enjoys interacting with her customers because it enables her to grow her customer base. Through her profits, she will be able to pay back the loan and improve her family’s standard of living. Like any loving parent, her dream has been to see her children succeed in life, as well as to build a house and open a store. She says thanks for your support.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
