Esther's story

For the past year, Esther has pertained to the Communal Bank, Despertar, and has learnt to manage her business better and to save money. She lives in the home of her in-laws and her greatest dream is to construct a home of her own. Esther has got two small children and rents a stall at the 12 de abril market, where she sells various types of clothing. Esther begins her day at 8am in the morning and works until 6pm in the afternoon in her business which she began 5 years ago. She is applying for a loan of 3000 soles which she plans on investing in the purchase of polo shirts and children's pants. Esther's husband studies at the University and his greatest dream is to finish his studies, in addition to constructing a house and educating his children.
