Regadillos Coffee Cooperative Endeavour Group's story

Meet the members of Regadillos Coffee Cooperative Endeavour! Founded in 2011 by 7 families, they're devoted to planting and selling coffee beans and plants. Their goal is to provide access to plants, tools, and training. Together they have aided many families to provide for themselves while becoming a household name for coffee bean fruit quality in central Honduras.
Reina, the coop's treasurer, is an agriculturist who has farmed her land and successfully grown and harvested many coffee plants; pursuing financial independence as a single mother of 3. She (second from the right) is a strong advocate of sustainable farming and learning new techniques. Reina's goal is to purchase new plants and update her tools for this planting season.
Reina plans to continue training on organic farming practices and as a cooperative, provide coffee plants and tools so families continue with this eco-friendly economic activity through a loan for this upcoming season.
All members, specially Reina, are key to protecting the Biological Reserve of Yerba Buena in their community. Through eco-friendly and sustainable farming practices, they protect the San Jose de Concepcion river basin and pine forests; home to over 10 protected bird species from indiscriminate poaching.
Thank you for contributing and joining the vision of Regadillo's Coffee Cooperative Endeavour.
