A loan helped a member to buy book merchandise.

Las Primeras Group's story

The Las Primeras communal bank is made up of eight members. Silvia is the recording secretary; she's the first one in the photo, wearing a gray and red jacket. In the middle is Jhazmin, the treasurer, with a long red and black sweater, and to the side is Soraida, the president, in a green and white sweater.

Jhazmin started working at a very young age selling various cleaning products by walking through different markets in the city. That's how she found out about the business selling cleaning merchandise. She was able to help with the household expenses that way.

In the beginning she sold products for different people, then she saw the possibility of being able to become independent. When she started selling on her own she sold not only in the city but also in different areas of the department. Jhazmin is known for bring out new and varied cleaning products every season.

The loan she's requesting is to be able to further expand her business with a purchase of more children's books so she can offer her customers more variety.

There are only three people in the photo because of worldwide biosafety measures during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In this group: Soraida, Carlos Francisco, Jhazmin Tatiana, German Ariel, Jhoan Alexander , Luis Beltran, Silvia, Silvia Mary
