08-Macka Group's story

This group of seven women belong to a banc villageois established in August 2011. They are engaged in retail business to achieve financial independence. The women live in the same village and have good relations with one another.

Ms. Tamarta, 45, is married and a mother of six children. She has two others in her care. With this new loan, Tamarta intends to buy sugar and detergent to resell.

The profits will be used to strengthen her savings and to pay transportation costs for her children to go to school.
