A loan of $325 helped to buy new designs of products to be incorporated into her current inventory.

Mary Jane's story

Mary Jane U., 37, is making sure that her family has adequate provision for their daily needs. She makes sure that she earns well so that their family can have a better life. She has been managing her own ready-to-wear clothing store for the past few years.

Mary Jane has been a regular member of Center for Community Transformation (CCT) for more than a year now. She regularly attends its weekly fellowship meetings* and pays her weekly dues consistently. Because of her good repayment performance with her previous loans, she was able to borrow quite a few times in CCT’s cooperative. She is consistent in paying her dues because she used the money she borrowed to expand and improve her clothing business.

To ensure the success of her business, Mary Jane would like to apply for a PHP 15,000 loan. This amount will be used as a source of added capital for her expanding business by buying new designs of products to be incorporated into her current inventory.

Mary Jane dreams that her business will continue to grow so that she can provide for her children’s education.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of fifteen to thirty community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay micro-finance loans.
