A loan helped to buy additional supply goods such as biscuits, noodles, sugar, coffee and many other things to resell at her store.

Maria's story

Maria is a modest and an enterprising 32-year-old married woman. She has a very good understanding and experience with general stores. She has one of her own which has been running for many years. Her store is located in an excellent spot which is easy to find, and many people come to buy her goods every day.

Running her business has made Maria more independent because she can be responsible for herself and also help support her family's every day income.

She would like a loan of $600 USD through KIVA field partner KIF to help improve her store. She plans to use this loan to buy additional supply goods such as biscuits, noodles, sugar, coffee and many other things to resell at her store.

Maria hopes to expand the size of her business in the future as the result of her investment and wants to thank lenders for the opportunity.
